RARE
Booted Eagle, (Hieraaetus pennatus)
Forest Buzzard, (Buteo oreophilus)
Black Harrier, (Circus maurus)
Peregrine Falcon, (Falco peregrinus)
Victorin’s Warbler, (Bradypterus victorini)
INTERMEDIATE
House Martin, (Delichon urbica)
Of extreme interest is the resident breeding pair of Black Eagles, (Aquila verreauxii)
Mammals

(See Appendix II) 45 species are recorded, of these the African wild cat, (Felis lybica) and the Honey Badger, (Mellivora capensis) is considered
VULNERABLE,
according to Smithers (1986), South African Red Data Book - Terrestrial Mammals.
The Aardwolf, (Proteles cristatus) , the Striped weasel, (Poecilogale albinucha) and the Leopard (Panthera pardus) are considered RARE.
